Welcome to Choices 2001 Challenge.
This mentoring program was started in 2006 by Women of Vision, a group of diverse women of all ages.
The idea was to link with 9th grade girls and help them discover that they can become successful and reach their goals and dreams. Last year’s theme was ADVENTURE.
This year it is CHOICES.
Through Choices 2011 girls learn about the choices, about themselves, and hopefully where they want to be in 5 – 10 - 20 years.
If you are a ninth grader reading this, you might be thinking about your 16th birthday, or your first car, or maybe the day you will finally graduate. But what happen after that? You’re a freshman now, but your senior year will be here before you know it, and what’s next?
Over the next year we’ll talk about the gratification of setting a goal and reaching it. What are your goals? What choices will you make to achieve them? With every decision that you make, there are more choices for you.
Choices 2011 Challenge will help you realize the path you want to be on and how to stay on the path of your dreams. It will help you build confidence, stay healthy, realize the vast number of opportunities, develop your individuality, build character, empower you and help you to empower others, and show you how important service is to you, your community, and to others.
We — the Women of Vision — look forward to helping you explore those possibilities!
