Individuality. What does that mean?
I think that an individual is like a math formula. One divided by one = INDIVIDUAL
It sounds nice, but in reality it can be hard.
When I was in school a new student named Natalie showed up. She was beautiful. Long blond hair, tall. My friends and I noticed. I was skinny–really, really skinny–and it seemed like every one had passed me by in the body image department, so I noticed how pretty she was. But what I also noticed that she was really an amazing person.
We became friends.
But my other friends didn’t like her. They were jealous, and some of them did some really bad things to her. Things like knocking her books out of her hand when she was walking down the hallway. Spreading rumors. Writing bad stuff on the bathroom wall. (more…)
