Opportunities, in the Muskogee area, for young men and women to pursue a career in nursing are some of the best in the nation. They range from about a year of training after high school to four years or more depending on what you want. Becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN) requires about a year of training (such training is offered at technical schools in the area) and passing a state licensing exam; you can become a registered nurse (RN) by completing either a two year or four year program of study at one of several schools in the area and passing a state licensing exam.
